The goal of The Valley Schools’ Athletic Department’s organized sports program is to create an atmosphere that is both satisfying and rewarding. We provide the opportunity for student athletes to develop the necessary skills to become productive and contributing citizens.
In order to enhance and support these basic principles, students will receive lessons in sportsmanship, respect for one?s opponent, respect for the rules, and the ability to win and lose with grace. We will instill perseverance, self-discipline, self-reliance and self-confidence in our student athletes. Each student athlete will learn the importance of cooperation and competition.
Athletic competition adds to school spirit and helps students, spectators, and participants develop pride in their school. The Valley Schools encourages all students to get involved, whether through a team or as a spectator.
The Valley Schools also promotes exercise and fitness through physical education classes held daily for each grade. The Valley Schools is proud to be a part of the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge where awards are given annually to all students who complete the necessary requirements.
