Valley School

For lifelong success, nothing beats a good education.

For a good education, nothing beats a good start. Giving young people the best possible start for their education is what we’re all about.

It’s never too early to learn the joy of meaningful achievement.

The idea is simple. Providing exposure to the tools of enlightenment in a disciplined, caring environment produces students who quickly learn how to learn. They develop an appreciation of the adventure and the thrill of learning. That appreciation enhances their subsequent academic careers, and more importantly, enriches the rest of their lives.

A Bit Of History

We’re the oldest non-sectarian private school in the San Fernando Valley, with a distinguished record of preparing young people for entry into the finest prep schools and (eventually) universities. That was the goal at our founding in 1950, and it’s the goal we pursue with undiminished passion today.

Parents send their children to us principally for our challenging academic curriculum, rated two years above equivalent school levels (based on statewide test results).

But there’s more to education than mastery of the subjects, including advanced and specialty courses, that we teach. Our program is enriched by a wide range of cultural, social and extra-curricular activities designed to produce well-rounded young graduates.

Also, many of our activities are designed to be just plain fun. We never forget that, while the children are busy becoming scholars, they’re still busy being kids!
